Codex’s setup process involves the following steps:
  1. Admin enablement in Box
  2. End-user connection

Step 1: Enable integration in Box

Admin
  1. Sign in to the Box Admin Console.
  2. Go to Integrations and find ChatGPT - MCP either by using the MCP Category filter, or by using the search bar at the top of the page.
  3. Make sure that ChatGPT - MCP is enabled for your enterprise by setting its availability to Available to all users.

Step 2: Configure end-user connection

User In Codex app:
  1. Open Plugins.
  2. Search for Box.
  3. Add the integration to Codex.
In CLI:
  1. Run /plugins in Codex.
  2. Search for Box in the plugins marketplace and install.
