This article is about Box Shuttle in the Admin Console. If you’re using legacy Box Shuttle, a standalone tool, see legacy migration guides.
The Charts tab on the Job Report page shows the data Shuttle collects during a job as charts. Use the charts to understand the content you plan to migrate, monitor the performance of a running job, or review what was migrated, without leaving the job report.

Before you start

  • Charts are available for every job type: analysis, simulation, and transfer. Some charts apply only to transfer jobs. For details, see Available charts.
  • Charts are available as soon as a new job run starts. They may not show meaningful results until the job collects some data.
  • Charts use the same data as the Report and Users tabs. Anyone who can open a job report can view its charts.

View charts

  1. Open the job report for the job run you want to review.
  2. Select the Charts tab.
By default, Shuttle displays the charts most relevant to the job type: Where applicable, the charts reflect the filters you selected for the report.

Add or remove charts

  1. On the Charts tab, select the settings icon ().
  2. In the sidebar, select the charts you want to add, and clear the ones you want to remove. The sidebar groups charts by type, such as Histogram and Grouped. You must select at least one chart.
When you display multiple charts, Shuttle loads them one at a time. Charts lower on the page may take longer to appear.

Available charts

Shuttle provides two types of bar charts, histograms and grouped charts, as well as donut charts and line charts.

Histograms

Histograms show how your files are distributed across a metric, such as file size or age. The horizontal axis divides the metric into even ranges, and the vertical axis shows the number of files in each range. Charts that start with All include every file found in the job. Charts that start with Transferred include only files that transferred successfully.
Only a few source types record when a file was last accessed. Windows is the most common. If your source doesn’t record this information, the Last Access charts are empty.

Grouped charts

Grouped charts show the top five items, such as owners or file extensions, with the highest value for the metric. Where applicable, a sixth bar combines all other items. For example, File Size per Owner shows the five owners with the largest number of bytes transferred, and the vertical axis shows the total bytes moved for each owner.

Donut charts

Line charts

Line charts are available only for transfer jobs. They show the progress of the migration over time.
