When enabled, Dispositions allows users in your organization to view files that are set to be disposed of due to retention policies. The setting is disabled for all managed users by default. It can be disabled or enabled for all managed users, with various possible permutations available for users and groups. Additional information is available in Enterprise Settings: Content & Sharing. Certain retention behaviors and disposition actions are tracked within the Disposition Report. File management regarding the extension of retention periods is tracked within the User Activity Report. Disposition actions Disposition actions can be set when creating a retention policy via Admin Console > Governance > Retention. You can determine which disposition actions take place for content managed by the retention policy when the retention period ends. The options include None, and Permanently delete content. Changes are made in Governance settings. Retention Disposition notifications You can determine which managed users receive a weekly disposition email notification in Governance settings. When notifications are enabled, they are sent by email on Wednesdays to users who are configured to receive them and have any files they own, or collaborate on, where the file is expiring in the next 14 days. See email notifications for all permutations and more information. End user functionality The Dispositions page is only available if access has been granted.
