Identify unmanaged users
The ability to identify unmanaged users is restricted to admin roles with the permission to manage users:- Navigate to the Admin Console.
- Select Users & Groups.
- Select the External Users tab.
- Select Unmanaged Users from the first dropdown menu above the list of named external users.
Uncollaborated unmanaged users (users who do not have access to your organization’s content) are available only on Enterprise and above plans. You can see them only if you verified your domains using a DNS check, or if Box Product Support added them.
Unmanaged users are not controlled or monitored by your Admin, Co-Admin, or your organization’s security policies, meaning that they represent a potential security and compliance risk. Box advises you to convert them to managed users as soon as you can.
