# Disabling an Information Barrier

Disabling an information barrier removes all ethical walls between user segments. It does not restore any collaborations removed by the enabling of the information barrier.

1. Go to **Admin Console > Shield**.
2. Click the **Information Barrier** tab.
3. In an enabled information barrier, click **Disable**.
4. In the Disable Information Barrier dialog box, select the **I acknowledge that this action cannot be undone and restrictions set by the current information barrier will no longer be enforced** check box.
5. Click **Disable**.
