# Accessing Recent Box Notes

The left hand sidebar in Box Notes lets you access recently opened Box Notes quickly and easily. The sidebar is collapsable. To open it, click the <InlineImage src="/images/box-notes/rkau0cndjxktr9elzewbh2mpc8pi6prf.png" alt="rkau0cndjxktr9elzewbh2mpc8pi6prf" /> icon in the upper left corner. To close it, simply click the icon again.

To view a list of recently opened Box Notes, click the **clock icon** in the sidebar. By default, the **Recent Notes** list displays your most recently accessed Box Notes.
