# Legal Hold Permissions

## Grant permission: View legal holds only

This allows the viewing of all legal holds created by other admins. It doesn't allow access to any other parts of the Admin Console.

To enable this setting, navigate to:

1. **Admin Console**.
2. **Users & Groups**.
3. Search for the user in the **Managed Users** tab.
4. Select the user and click **Edit** next to **Role and Access Permissions**.
5. Enable **Policies > View policies set up for your company > Legal Holds only**.
6. Turn off all other permissions.
7. Click **Save**.

  **Note:**

  If you enable **Create, edit and delete policies for your company**, this will override view only permissions.

## Grant permission: Create, edit, and delete legal holds only

This allows the admin:

* To view all legal holds created by other admins
* To create, edit, and delete their own legal holds
* To report on legal holds

It doesn't allow access to any other parts of the Admin Console.

To enable this setting, navigate to:

1. **Admin Console**.
2. **Users & Groups**.
3. Search for the user in the **Managed Users** tab.
4. Select the user and click **Edit** next to **Role and Access Permissions**.
5. Enable **Policies > Create, edit and delete policies for your company > Legal Holds only**.
6. Turn off all other permissions.
7. Click **Save**.
