# Access Stats Report

<div className="article_labels_list" style={{display: 'none'}} dangerouslySetInnerHTML={{__html: "Reporting , admin reports , Access stats"}} />

Box enables you to track user activity on most files in two ways:

1. Recent activity, via avatars that display when you preview a file.
2. Lifetime activity, by selecting a file then looking at **Details** in the right-hand sidebar. This provides file usage statistics, with more comprehensive information and the ability to download available by selecting the **See Details** button.

These features enable you to quickly see who has accessed a file, and the action they took.

For more detailed information, see [Tracking User Activity on Files](/en/box-fundamentals/for-users/staying-organized/organizing-and-tracking-content/tracking-user-activity-on-files).

<Note>
  **Note**: Reports are saved by default in the Box Reports folder, though you can select a different destination folder during the creation process. Learn more at [Report Destination Folders](/en/box-admin-tools/reporting-and-insights/report-destination-folders).
</Note>
