# Viewing Managed User's Files and Folders

<div className="article_labels_list" style={{display: 'none'}} dangerouslySetInnerHTML={{__html: "has_image , Overview , Admin , Article , Product Utilization , Established"}} />

<Warning>
  **IMPORTANT:**

  * This article describes the usage of the legacy Content Manager, which is replaced by the [new Content Manager](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-content/content-manager/about-content-manager). The legacy Content Manager was sunset in February 2026.
  * File access stats are no longer available. User activity on files can be found by running the [User Activity Report](/en/box-admin-tools/reporting-and-insights/user-activity-report), or by logging in as a user and using content insights in the end user application.
</Warning>

You can view files or folders in any account within your organization from the **Content Manager**.

<Note>
  **Note**

  This feature is available in Business Plus, Enterprise, Enterprise Plus, and Enterprise Advanced plans only. For more information about pricing plans, or to upgrade, visit [box.com/pricing](https://www.box.com/pricing/).
</Note>

1. Go to **Admin Console > Content**.
2. Select the **Content Manager** tab.
3. Use the folder tree to navigate to the user and the folder that contains the file you want to view.

You can also search for a specific managed user by entering the user’s name in the filter bar (potential users will appear as part of an auto-complete list)

All the files and folders the selected user can access will appear on the right. You can preview files, modify file and folder information, download files, and/or share files and folders. Expand the drop-down menu under **More** to access these actions.

<Note>
  **Note**

  * Admins can only download files via the Content Manager if the owner of the content is **Active.**
  * For security purposes, if a managed user is collaborating on content owned by an external user, an admin cannot use Instant Login or Content Manager to access this content.
</Note>
