# About Content Manager

Content Manager enables admins to find, view, access, and perform certain actions on content owned by your organization's [managed users](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-box-users-and-admins/managed-users/about-managed-users). Content Manager is available in the Admin Console with Business Plus or higher plans.

In Content Manager, you can:

* View managed users and service accounts in the organization.
* Browse a user's active content.
* Preview a user’s active and trashed content.
* [Search for files and folders](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-content/content-manager/searching-for-files-and-folders), including filtered search and searching by file ID or shared link.
* Download single or multiple files and folders.
* [Manage a user's files](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-content/content-manager/managing-a-users-files-and-folders), including restoring, trashing, downloading, sharing and managing collaborators.
* [Manage files in a user's Trash](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-content/content-manager/managing-a-users-trashed-files), including downloading, and restoring files and folders.
* [Manage file and folder collaboration](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-content/content-manager/managing-collaborators-of-a-users-files-and-folders)
* [Create or remove shared links and change shared link settings](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-content/content-manager/managing-shared-links-of-a-users-files-and-folders)
* [Archive files and folders](/en/box-archive/getting-started/introducing-box-archive), view and search Archives, and restore Archived content.  The Box Archive feature is available only to Enterprise Advanced accounts.

**Notes**

* Download and Restore are not available for all files in a user's Trash. If either function is not available for a file, that icon will not appear when you hover on the file.
* If you try to restore a file to a location that no longer exists, such as when the original folder has been deleted, you will be asked to select a restoration folder location.
* For security purposes, if a managed user is collaborating on content owned by an external user, an admin cannot use [Instant Login](/en/box-admin-tools/managing-box-users-and-admins/managed-users/using-instant-login-for-a-managed-users-account) or Content Manager to access this content.
